FINALLY.... Mossy Oak has stepped away from the dark blob camo they call Break-Up! I always felt that was a pretty stupid name for a camo pattern that did the opposite of breaking up your outline. Break-Up looks shadow black in nearly any hunting condition I've ever seen. A camo simply MUST have a light background to be effective in the vast majority of hunting conditions. I'm glad to see they look like they finally have caught on by introducing new Treestand.

As for the Realtree pattern, they've been onto this effective breaking up design utilizing light backgrounds for several years and that's why I've bought many more of their patterns in the past. Now I can finally wear a MO pattern and not be let down!

I think the new Treestand camo is the best new pattern available.

I tend to disagree. The new Mossy Oak is much better then break up which from 40 yards and out just looks black. However Ive been using the new AP since it came out and it works great not only in the stand but on the ground and not only in the whitetail woods but also the Mountains out west. New Treestand looks good and from what ive seen it does fine for stand hunting but the AP is a better all around pattern. All my friends that have hunted with me while wearing AP admit the pattern is pretty amazing.

I have to agree with crenshaw on the realtree AP. I havent used the new mossy oak but the AP has worked for me both on the ground for turkeys and in a treestand. AP seems more versatile.

I think you have to make the decision based on what environment you hunt and the area. In the Northeast and where I hunt in Ohio, AP is the best hands down. I think Mossy Oak is going in the right direction and has a good pattern there, but, AP is better. I actually like G1 better also.

Never been a big fan of Mossy Oak patterns for the reasons that IL-Cornfed mentioned. I've always preferred Realtree. However, I still think that Predator Brown is the best pattern for late fall by far.

Although I Love my Predator, especially for late season. I have a set of the MO Treestand and it is a step up for Mossy Oak.
