Default Copper John -VS- Spot Hogg

Looking to buy a new sight, and have narrowed it down to a Spot Hogg or Dead Nuts 2. Any input would be great and any other recommendations. Thanks--Ryan [8D]

Both are really the cream of the crop, you can't go wrong with either.

The SH probably has the best reputation in the industry, but CJ is right there with them.

Seriously, flip a coin.

I have owned both. My Marquis is sporting a Spot-Hogg Hogg-It with wrap. It is without question the best sight I have ever owned.

When it comes to a rugged sight loaded with features there really is no equal to a Spot Hogg IMHO.

I have the 2008 dn2 supreme on my new bow currently. If I could do it over again......I would run from any copper john product! I spent over $140 on a sight that claims zero gap pins.....but they have a huge gap, and all of them come that way.Do to the pin design there is no way to fix it. if you have a fast bow I would go with spothogg. I've talked to there customer service several times and they have given me several ways to use the sight by moving my peep, but I like my peep where it is, and everytime I asked them about zero pin gap (which is still on there web site) they didn't have an answer for me. But only change the subject. The copper john sight is well made-but not designed as stated by the company. I still use the sight, just with different yardages then I'm use to.
I think for $140 a company should be clear in advertising and the product there selling. Thanks for letting me ventI needed that!

I have a Spott Hogg it om my Allegiance and I have a CJ Deadnut's 2 Competition on my 101st airborne, My opinion is both are nice sight's ,Both well made products. I'm still pretty partial to my Hogg it ,but I do like the CJ as well. The one thing i like much better about the CJ is the wrap ,I find the pin's much brighter than my Hoggit ,I'm sure I can cure that with a wrap, but then that will only raise the price tag to an already expensive sight ,which would make the CJ Deadbut's 2 a bargain .

here is the CJ Hunter2, this pic was before it was sighted in on my Drenalin. The only complaint now is the pins are stacked on each other for 20 yards and up with no gap between them. Seems to block the target a bit. It might be better to have 3 pins and smaller ones, these are the .029 pins. They are highly visable though. I do really like the sight, seems well made.
