BowTech, Hoyt, and Mathews all make very good quality bows. Since 03 I've shot BowTech because they feel better, and shoot better for me. I shot Hoyt for a few years and Mathews for 6 years, but made the switch because the BowTechs just performed better.
I think the Allegiance is arguably one of if not the best hunting bow ever made. Last year the Guardian was a pleasure to hunt with and shoot.
This year the Airborne 82 seems to be poised to be my starter. I do think the 101 is an overlooked bow by many.
I'd take any of those4 bows in a heartbeat. Best thing you can do is shoot as many models as you can get your hands on and decide what feels best to YOU!!

You opened a can of worms as everybody thinks their favorite is better than everything else-including me. My personal favorite is my mathews switchback xt.

I am pretty convinced that the top three are the Bowtech Allegiance, Hoyt Katera, and the Matthews Drenalin after test firing all three.
I really want an allegiance now but without a job I have to be realistic right now! Oh well, I have a Black Ice in the mean time and I will wait and see what they come out withfor 2009.
