I think you are talking about the Rocket hammerheads. They are a fine head if you are pushing at least 65 ft/lbs of bow energy and shooting a well tuned bow. With a 2" cut it takes a lot of powere to drive them through a deer. They do use rubber bands to hold the blades closed.

I am a huge fan of Rocket heads.

The 2" cutting diameter is a little on the large side. I will be shooting 80+ pounds out of my Razor Tec and I plan on staying with the Steelheads. My brother has an 87 pound Razor Tec and he is shooting Sidewinders. Two inches of cutting diameter will seriously curtail a pass thru.

If you are low on the energy side, try the Wolverines, or better yet, the new Ultimate Steel 100. I will be using the Ultimate Steel out of a 70 pound LX.

Seems like you have asked about both Spitfires and Hammerheads. Both should work fine for Turkey hunting, I'm going to shoot both. I've used both for deer and I like both of them , but I still think the Spitfires are better overall.

I used both the 3 and 4 blade models to take some deer this past season. They worked flawlessly. Both deer dropped within sight of my stand. Excellent entrance and exit wound. No damage to the ferrule of the head though most if not all blades were bent.
