stopped by the bow shop again tonite, turns out all the bows he gets in are with the smooth modules.....so, guess it is moot, they aint gonna be any smoother :P

also just noticed that the speeds on the tags vary in arrow weight depending on the poundage.....

82nd
70 lb bow at 350 grains 29" draw 333fps
60 lb bow at 300 grains 29" draw 333fps

wish it was all apples to apples, but not enough of a nit to stop me from buying one, if they end up on the top of the list after I shoot all the bows I want to try......

Wiaxle, are you absolutely sure that shop's 82nds had smooth mods on them? They ship with the speed mods installed. You can tell by looking at the engraving to see if it says "QB" on them; if it does (which I'm betting they do), you'll know they're speed mods.

The smooth mods are the ESM mods.

Shop owner here made the same mistake and thought the Airbornes had come with the smooth mods because all the Bowtechs that have that option do ship with the Smooth mods

Except for the Airbornes. They ship with the Speed mods

i went and shot them recently and still like my guardian best ,maybe im just used to it.i did like the velvet finish though.i would say buy the one that feels best, the speed is nice but i think that it should come in second to feel.also wondering if the guardian you shot was maybe to short of draw length.mine seems to sit in the valley very nicely.good luck and cant go wrong with any of them.
