RE: G5 striker magnum
I wonder if they've listened to my advice and added lock washers to the "A-2" pin lock screws on the Optix? After I bought my sight I broke off one of the screws. I contacted them for a replacement (Which they had to me the next day) and also recommended the lock washer. They told me "We are currently working on a remedy for this problem." I told them again to just add a lock washer, problem solved.
I guess it would be way to simple and probably save them thousands of dollars in redesign and testing to simply add a washer. They're R&D people wouldn't have anything to do. Gee guys, how can we correct this problem. Let's spend thousands, or more,of dollars thinking it over and doing designs that way we can charge the customers more for the sight. lmao

G5 now has them on their website, not sure what I think about them. Ill geta pack and try but Im not sure I like the blade angle. At least not for deer, should be bad news for turkeys though.

One of the points listed for that BH tells you there is a stability issue with this head. "Great for close range hunting situations".
I beleive that once a broadhead starts to get as wide as it is long you start to loose stability.Especially with a faster arrow.I'd like to se the tests performed with faster bows past 20 yds or so.
Let me know how they perform.

I think you probably hit the nail on the head here. Larger heads generally don't fly as well at long range. In a test done this past summer, one of the local bowhunting guruscompared the accuracy of various fixed heads - shooting at 75 yards. The compact little 75 grain Muzzy was the winner. He was doing this in preparation for antelope season.

I do agree with the possibility of flight issues. Ill get a pack and try them out, I wont be out anything cause the furrels are the same as the 125grain strikers which Im planing on using for deer this year instead of the 100 grain.
