Default 2007 vs. 2008 Allegiance

Are there any changes to the 2008 model? I am about to convert (from Hoyt) and I was wondering if there was any reason to wait for the 2008 models vs a left over or used 2007. I shot a 2008 with the smooth modules and I love the way it draws and holds.

Different colors only. Same bow.

The only way you'd be able to tell if it's a 2007 or a 2008 is if it's got black cams or silver cams... The 2007's were available in Hardwoods Green, so that would be the only difference if someone had special-ordered their bow in that color.

I pulled the trigger on a 2007 on ebay last night. I should get it early next week. I hope to have it set up and ready to for a hunt the following weekend. I hope this thing is as sweet on the range as it was in the pro shop!!

I consider the Allegiance as the most versatile bow out there. Light weight, speed, adjustability, stable, can ya see I'm kinda pleased with mine?

Everyone I've talked to seems to be pleased with theirs. Where can I get one of the MeanV CSS that everyone is using?

Well the new to me bow arrived today. I had to spend a little time getting to know it this evening. I must say that I am pretty impressed so far. I stopped and picked up a set of 28.5 modules and fired her up. First thing I must say is this bow is quick. I don't have all my accessories mapped out yet, but I think I'm going to like this one. I set the poundage on 64 (my personal favorite hunting weight) and paper tuned it. It is shooting my 370 grain arrows at over 290 fps. I haven't shot it past 15 yards (in the basement), but it is grouping well for me.

The one question I have is how to properly set the draw stop after changing the modules (I dropped from a 29 to 28.5).

You should have just installed the #3 mods to achieve your desired 28 1/2" draw length, and the post should be set at 6.3.

I had it set a little long. I was closer to 7. I sure noticed a lot firmer wall when I shortened it up to around 6.3. It seems like the valley is pretty small at that setting. He who creeps is lost!!

Thanks for the info. I think all my loyal years shooting Hoyt have come to an end!!
