RE: Slick Trick or Crimson Talon?
Well boys... another deer falls to the Slick Trick!
Nice sized doe on Friday afternoon in the rain here in northern NJ. Once again, the "Trick" does the job. Shot was about 15 yds, broadside. I'm up about 18-20 ft. Great angle down through the paddles and out the opposite shoulder. Both lungs gone! She dropped about 40-45 yds away with a massive blood trail even with the rain!!!. These heads are the best IMHO. I shoot 'em and highly recommend 'em!

RE: Slick Trick or Crimson Talon?
I've shot just about every new broadhead out there. Slick tricks are very good but nothing can compare to the crimson talon XT. Not the old model, the new XT. I keep reading that these broadheads aren't sharp at all. This broadhead doesn't utilize the blades for cutting or slicing like a muzzy or a thurderhead. They flat out rip or tear the guts out.One thing to keep in mind, I would only suggest using CTXT's with a higher speed bow with high KE. I shot a doe and a large 8 pointer this year with these heads and let me tell you they are devastating heads. Neither deer made it out of the food plot (10) yards. Most of the new broadheads are very good and fly good with properly tuned rigs. This head with a bow slinging 280 to 300 fpswith 400 to 500 grain arrowsis flat out wrong and I mean that in a good way.

I've shot both and found the ST to be the better head for me. I'm shooting an avg. hunting rig 253 fps 385 gr. arrow, DW is 63#, andKE around 53-54#. The tricks seemed more consistent in flight and I felt they gave me a better blood trail.
