I shot muzzy 100s for years and went thru them like crazy. Always had problems with them planing and being all over the place. Reasons being either bent blades(on practice heads) or bent ferrules(on heads that were used for practice after being used on deer), or a combo of both. Drove me nuts. When shooting these heads you need to make sure everything is perfectly straight and there is no wobble whatsoever, otherwise they'll be all over the place. I shot the strykers last year and loved them, very tough, and plenty sharp. Shot the three blade rage year before last and had nothing but problems. The blades interfere with one another on a pretty consistent basis. Thinking of trying the slicktricks this year, $22 is pretty good for a set of broadheads.

Ive used muzzy for years , they are a great head , the new g5 strikers are my first choice now . they are sharper , and well built .

i think muzzy heads have gotten alot less durable over the years. i still like seeing this one my dad has in his box from years ago that he shot through a deer and hit a rock and all it did was bend one blade and squish the tip alittle used to be crazzy tough heads but i also think it was a really heavy head. ive seen alot of people pointing to the ferlues bending anymore and the blades are not bad but def not as tought as something resharponable but thats the trade off of being able to replace to blades i guess.

The Muzzy has no doubt earned a respected reputation but I would choose the Slick Tricks over them everytime. Outstanding fixed blades!

I was talking to one of the local Guru's of bowhunting last night. He did some extensive long range accuracy testing this summer in preparation for antelope hunting. In both of his bows, the 75 Muzzy was the winner at the 80 yard line. Wound up shooting a "Poper" on Monday night. Not a real comprehensive test, but consistent with my experience. The G5 Montec flys almost as well out of my bow and offers a little bigger cut, so I'm not sending these out with the trash. But that little Muzzy sure flys well.

BTW, this guy doesn't like expandables.
