I would go with the first price on the Black Ice, the few extra $ is definately worth it. Not that the Liberty is bad, its very similar to the BI, but after shooting the two, I took the BI home. However you wont be disappointed w/ either.

Ihaven't had the chance to shoot the Black Ice, but I do own the Libety. It is a really awesome bow. I like it so much I wouldn't ever sell it or get another bow...but that's just me. The bow fits me perfectly and that's key for ANY bow that you shoot. It MUST fit you and feel good to YOU.

If you do decide on one of those bows, buy it bare so you get exactly what you want in accessories. When it comes to shooting, settling shouldn't be an option, unless those products are what you'd buy anyway.

Yes , MdDave ,

Ive been bow hunting since abought 1990 or so .
I have seen the Bowtech line , They look good also ,
Just that the closes dealer is over an hour away .
Seamed **** the Bow techs were a little pricier .
The Black Ice is the top end bow of the Diamond line ,Yes I no Bowtech bought them out, but theyve been having a few issues on there Bowtech line .

Forgot to mention , I also like the single cam bow design ,
Less likely to have any cam alignment issues .

4 Tracks, the hush kit should not be an extra. That comes on the bow from the factory. I owned the Black Ice back in Jan. & it had the hush kit on it.

Bowtech do not have any problems other than building them fast enough to satisfy demand. As for the cams staying in tune, remeber the binary cams are slaved together so you don't have the issues that were once common on twin cam bows. In the end you should buy the one that you shoot best and enjoy shooting most. They are all better bows than most of us are shooters.

I have owned both the Bowtech Liberty and the Diamond Black Ice. The Black Ice is a bit faster and a bit shorter. Recoil level is very comparable with a slight edge going to the Black Ice. As was suggested previously either would be an excellent choice but, personally, I would opt for the first price on the Black Ice package.

Shot both this weekend. My preference would be the Black Ice. Just smoother all around. Don't let anyone tell you that buying a Diamond is settling as compared to Bowtech. Same great quality, just single cam. Oh ya...I would go with a Muzzy ZE rest.
