Bowtech Allegiance 2006 vs. Allegiance 2007
Hello, I currently own a 2006 allegiance and have really enjoyed it. I haven't been able to shoot the 2007 allegiance and was curious if anyone has tried it. If so please let me know your thoughts on the differences between the 06 and 07.

The '07 Ally IBO's from 327-335 fps, just like the '06 did. The weight was shaved from 4.1 to 3.8 lbs., and the grip has totally been reworked to rave reviews. The cams don't have all the cutouts the '06s had.

They shaved 8oz off the bow and added a new grip for all 07 bows. I can't say how this compares to 06, but I've been shooting my 07 for about a week and thus far it has impressed me. I'm coming from an 05 so there were many major changes since then. I'm shooting the smooth mods and the draw cycle, even at 70lbs, feels about 3-5lbs less.
If you're shooting an 06, you might want to hang onto it another year or two. Bowtech is ever changing. Who knows, they might all be center pivot bows by 08.

My experiences with the newest version of the Allegiance tends to really just verify what the others have already posted. The draw cycle feels a bit smoother and the overall weight of the bow has been decreased. This makes it feel a bit more compact to me and even somewhat "custom" in its refinements.

I guess I'll stay with my 06 then. The weight is insignificant to me and I love the feel of the 06 grip. Reminds me of the Hoyts.
I'll need to shoot the other models then.

I am itchin' to take a crack at either of the new Center Pivot models. The reports thus far all seem to be extremely positive. I have a Commander on order but have no idea when it will arrive. They should be a blast to shoot in terms of noise and recoil levels.

I had the opportunity to bring home a brand new Guardian tonight. I have an 07 Allegiance on order and the Guardian is ready to find a home. I just couldn't do it. The Allegiance is the perfect bow for me. I really want to shoot them both side by side and make a moreeducated decision. I just think Bowtech has perfected the Allegiance.
IMO the Guardian has room for improvement in the cams. I would like to see interchangeable mods and a smoother draw cycle but that's just me, however on the shot it really does live up to what everyone is saying about it. I will wait to see the improvements a year of Bowtech innovation will make. Maybe next year it will be perfected much like the Allegiance is this year.
I could be the first person in interior AK to own a Guardian, but it's not about cool points on this decision.
