    Default Arrow saw speed
    I am thinking about getting an arrow saw, so I can start making my own arrows.
    What is the minimum saw speed required to cut carbon arrows?

    They say 8,000 rpm in order to keep from damaging the cabon fibers and get a good clean cut. You will hear people say that they have done it with less, but I wouldn't.

    Two of the saws from APPLE are 5,000rpm.

    This should be fine.

    Their 8,000 rpm saw is the APPLE PRO, and the reson for the higher speed is 'faster, cleaner, cooler cuts'. I have cut carbon arrows at 5,000rpm. and they are fine.
