In my experience abandon that elastic thing, too much to go wrong for me,I use a large hole plastic peep,I tye in my self,If ya use elastic,id cary an extra in the deer woods. In case it broke.Simple things are almost always the best.My peep, seems to work out for me.

If ya tye it in it may take a few shots for it to settle in,I usually put my release on my loop and kinda hold my string, and twist my peep to where it needs to be after awhile it kinda settles in to where I want it.When Im hunting I usually do the same thing If it seems a lil cocked.Just twist it .And keep a good wax job on your string.

I really like my Trykon. I did experience the "buzzing" problem, but it was the Stringshox that caused it. The dealer (J.R. at JR's Archery in Eden, NC) thought that the spreading of the sting where the Stringshox where installed was creating resonance. He put some small catwhiskers on the cam-side end of each of the Stringshox and the buzzing disappeared.

my opinion.. don't waste your money on either. There less expensive bows that kill deer just as dead.

Pick a bow that fits you, shoots well and is trouble free. Sounds like you already have a good combination. Buying a new bow just on the hype you see on hunting shows isn't the way to select equipment. I feel the reason I shoot consistently is that I keep the same bow and become so familiar with it there is no doubt in my mind that my set up will do what I want when I want if I perform.

RE: matthews vs hoyt
I spent 3 days shooting a Trykon and Switchback back n forth trying to decide at my local bow shop.
Finnally, I choose the Trykon, my buddy did the same comparison and he choose the Trykon as well.
Now 8 weeks later I finnaly figured out whats wrong with my form and need a 32" draw.... so I am trying to figure a Switchback LD or a Trykon XL. Tough choice for me too Shoot them both, you can't go "Wrong" just find what you like best.
