smells like licorice (sp?) to me. My dad swears by it for early season attractant, although I don't think its ever brought in a buck.

I use it for early season place it on a drag rag put it on about 100yards from my stand and walk in i like it becouse it dont spook deer i dont think it will draw them in but when they cross its path they do stop an check it out and it gives me a good shot.

Yea I use it.
It works pretty good for me, I'll soak a rag with it and tie it to a stick, drag it behind me.
It covers my trail and I have had some deer follow it within bow rangeto my stand.
I'm happy with it and I'll continue to use it.

Way to many better products out there than to try to introduce this scent to your areas deer. It's simply a curiousity flavor scent and will only attract the young naive deer that still have curiousity, yearling bucks with lil' baskets. I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a more mature deer to come walking right up to it.

Yes it does smell like licoriche and yes it's a real good early season attractant.
