Man, thats some good news I love my ol'man tree stand and I used it so much that I need to get new bushens in the arms of it. I got the top of the line Gorilla because I was told that thay bought them out and it is not the same stand the ol'man is alot better.

I like my grand vision. I feel safer in it than any other once it's locked down. have never had a problem with thsis stand but did have another brand break a weld with me, fortunately was not high in the tree. If the new ones are sturdier I gotta try one of these. I have been looking at the equalizer with the leveling feature but haven't made a decision yet.

Gorilla only purchased some of the patent rights tobuild the designs but they did not purchase the company or the name and they are not Ol-Man treestands.

I too was under the impression that ol' man got bought out by gorilla. I got a gorilla last year and love it. Only because my ol'man which I used for 3 seasons before just seemed to heavy walking long distances with. So I shaved a few pounds with the gorilla.

I promised my wife that I wouldn't get a new treestand this year, but I have to tell ya, that aluminum version looks really nice!
