Default Reflex vs. Reflex

You guys that have a new Highlander, have you shot the Super Slam as well? I was wondering if the SS is really that much of a better bow. For the $$ the Highlander seems like the logical choice, but I was wondering if there is enough of a difference between the two that would cause someone to buy the Super Slam. If I buy a highlander, that gives me more cash to drop on accessories & arrows & stuff, but, if it is inferior by alot, I would be more inclined to just buy the "grand daddy". Your comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

No, it isn't. For the money, the Highlander is one of the best bows going. Check out their website,www.reflexbow.com and compare the numbers. You won't see too much difference.

I would definitely buy the Highlander, looks like the best buy in the Reflex line ( I owned a Grizzly a while back ). If you want to spend more money I would jump up to the Hoyt Powertec. I find it is a great value also, same laminated limbs and cams as a Vtec with a very good riser for way less $$

Yup... I am the one who owns the brand new Highlander. It is simply AWESOME!!!!

You can't go wrong with it. It is patterned after the Hoyt UltraSport (uses the same riser). The Super Slam is an excellent bow also, but gets the $$$ just because (IMHO) Chuck Adams endorses it.

Check out the comparison between bows at Hunters Friend:

What do you guys think of the new Buckskin? I would like to shoot both the Buckskin and the Highlander, but the bow shops inmy area don't carry them in stock. They "can order them, though". I would like to shoot what I am getting into before I order one of them.
