Default *newbie* Need help buying a bow & E-Bay

Hiya,

I'm new to the sport and I could really use some pointers. I'm in the market for a bow. I shot my friend's Hoyt UltraSport bow and I liked it. Looking for something in the market which is on par...

Also, Anybody ever purchased a Bow off E-bay? How was your success? Good Bad? Stay away???

Thanks for all the help...

Jason

I purchased one and had good luck, and have also heard horror stories. Just make sure you know what you are getting and check that feedback out.

I use E-Bay all the time. If you know what you want and
how much your willing to pay for the item then I say go for
it. E-mail/call the seller and ask any questions you may have.

Is it a private or store sale?
In the end If you know what you want and how much you want
to spend then do it. Good luck to ya!

I have done well off ebay. Like anything else the sellers feedback needs to be perfect and lengthy before I bid. But buying used is definitely a good way to get into archery. It allows you to get a quality product usually for 1/2 the retail price or less if its a couple years old.

Just be aware that purchasing a Hoyt on the internet voids the warranty.

I've had good experiences buying on e-bay. Rely on the seller's feedback. Look for a high # of feedback and all positives. Watch out for shipping charges.
