RE: Help with safety harness
I work in the medical field with different positions over the years, one being in the ER and that is an impressive humerus fracture. That takes a significant amount of force to fracture it. I know it doesn't seem like it, but you are lucky to be alive.

Wow, Griz34... That's a nasty X-ray of your upper arm (humerous bone)! That deserves the jaw drop smilie:
You are seriously lucky or had an angel on your shoulder!!! I have NEVER climbed my tree stand without my Summit Seat 'O The Pants harness. If for some reason I accidently forget my harness, I won't hunt. I will turn right around and go all the way back home to get it. That's just the way it is....
I saw a video that said 33% of tree stand hunters will take a major fall at some point in time. If you break that down, that is 3 out of every 10 guys in tree stands! [&:]
Watch the video/DVD from Summit on their tree stands, harnesses, products/accessories, etc... They have one of their pro staff guys up in a tree stand with the Seat 'O The Pants harness on. The guy is a pretty big guy too. He literally steps right off the stand from about 20' up in a tree and gets restrained by the harness and dangles right here next to his stand. It's pretty amazing and goes to great lengths to show how secure the Seat 'O The Pants harness is.
