Default Spray Paint crest vs. Arrow Wraps

I am trying to decide between a wrap or spray paint cresting.

The wraps look fairly easy but they seem to add 12-15 grains according to a website I saw that sold them. I have not calculated my FOC but hear the more weight up front the better on a carbon. I have also heard some rests will peel the front edge up pretty quick.

I have heard mixed views on the spray paint crest due to some glues affecting the paint.
Those of you who have been successfull what are the exact brand and type of paint used with what glue successfully? For example Krylon, Dap, Rustoleum, gloss, flat, semi gloss etc. etc.

I shoot wraps thruthe oldW.B. and haven't had any trouble. The only wrap that came off was one I glued the fletch on at a seam. My falt not the wraps. I have not tried the paint but plan to on my target stuff (too close to the season to be trying new stuff)

The key is to use a spray LAQUER and not paint. The laquer dries super hard. If you allow it to fully dry before applying fletchings, you wont have any problems.

Go with the wraps, they are very hard to beat! I've used them for years with excellent results.

IL,

What brand of wraps are you using?
All the ones around here locallyare very expensive $18-$22 a dozen for wraps.
I see alot on ebay for $6-$10 a dozen which sound alot more reasonable.
