The short, boring, uninformative arrow rest report.
But hey, it has pictures!
This is a light spin off of JeffB's bow reports. Minues a lot of the photos (i'm on dial up), the information, and the effort.
I received my Cobra Diamondback drop away in the mail Monday from Bass Pro. I ordered one since my VBG Ultimate Fall Away crapped out on me. It was on sale for $39.99, so I thought I didnt have much to lose. So without further ado, here's my brief synopsys after about 200 arrows through it.
Pros-
1) I like the light weight. Its about half the weight of my VBG.
2) Its much quieter: the lighter launcher arms contribute to this.
3) Set up was a breeze. It took 5 or 6 shots to get myself dialed in.
4) This rest is simple to adjust. My previous rest had 7 or 8 screws that needed loostened and tightened to adjust.
5) The arrow holder is convenient, yet slightly too wide to prevent a carbon from bouncing around.
6) Lifetime warrunties are good!
7) Obviously, the price.
Gripes-
1) The camo is rather cheesy. But it was the only version offered no sale. Its not a big deal at all.
2) My tec riser is in the way of the travel screw. Not the rests fault at all.
3) The tec riser also caused me to serve in the drop cord lower than I'm used to doing. Again, not the rests fault.
4) I wish it had micro adjust horizontal movements. It has Micro adjust windage.
All in all, I think its a great rest for the price. It was easy to tune, looks good, is quiet, and seems to be well built. The launcher arms look flimsy at first, but after shooting, I can see they will be fine.
If any other photos are desired, please let me know.
Hope you all find this useful!

3) rest up
EDIT: If anyone wants and better quality pics, I can email them. I had to resize them so much to get them to fit, they distorted.

Plenty informative Josh
I almost picked one of these up this year, but ended up withthe newless expensive TT Shakey. DB looks like a nice rest for the $,but for some reason they are just not selling well at the shop?

I would agree with Jeff on both counts. Nice rest and nice first attempt at an equipment review post. Very well laid out and you were able to articulate your thoughts withouth sounding overly critical.
