climbing stix suggestions...
I'm looking for a ladder for my loc on stand. What I want is the kind you build on the ground then stand up and attach to the tree as you climb. I already have some separate climbing stix but for some trees I hunt they are a pain. Any suggestions???? Thanks!

RE: climbing stix suggestions...
I have fell in love w/ using the climbing sticks. IMO they are fairly easy to pack in and out and easy to set up by yourself. I found the biggest difference in the different brand names and prices are the way the attach to the tree. I started off by buying a fairly expensive set of four from Loggy Bayou that attach w/ the Rope Rachets and they work great but were a little pricey. I later found on Ebay a set of 20 of those Rope Rachets for about $30. After that I went and bought about 64 ft. of the cheaper brand of climbing sticks from Wally World and just threw the cheaper attachments they came with away and used the Rope Rachets. I figure after all whether they are expensive or not they all get you up the tree. The thing that is important to me is how easy it is to attach and how safe it is to attach. When carrying your sticks in and out of hunting areas can be noisy but if you stack them together and wrap some Duct Tape around both ends a couple of times it holds them together quietly and securely. Good Luck
