While we are on the subject of barrel manufacturing; has anyone had a muzzleloader frozen by the guys in Illinois that take the barrel to very cold temperatures and then bring them back on a controlled curve which is supposed to relieve all the stress in the barrel and make it less subject to temperature swings affecting accuracy (shot to shot etc.). I had my 40-65 done and unfortunately I did not have a before and after comparison but others have reported improvement in accuracy after the treatment. It is also supposed to make the barrel less prone to fouling (smokeless type).
