CVA Kodiak
Well after all the negative posts that I have read regarding the TC Omega I decided to buy the CVA Kodiak with the nickel barrel instead. All I can say is what a gun!
I spent about 5 hours at the range the other day with it and I have never shot a more accurate gun.
I tried various combos and totally hated 777 in it. Though my groups were very good with 777, I really had to scrub the barrel in between EVERY shot. A wet patch was not sufficient.
Pyrodex on the other hand was much better, I still ran a patch down the barrel after every shot, but that's just because I'm anal like that.
Anyhow, I found that 295 gr. PB with 100 gr. of Pyrodex turned the gun into an absolute dream to shoot. I was literally shooting overlapping holes at 100 yds.
The gun has a very comfortable stock that handles recoil very nicely.
It's easy to clean and you just gotta love the break open breech system. So if you folks need a new in-line and don't want to break the bank, the CVA Kodiak at around $300 is simply an amazing gun.

What negative Omega posts are there? If you are talking about tight-fitting sabots, Kodiak bores are generally .001 smaller (on average) than T/C.
What other Omega negative posts are there that can't be traced to possible shooter error?

RE: CVA Kodiak
I have the Kodiak too. Just shot it last week. Had it shipped to a friend (cant get one sent to NYC) and he sited it in for me. He has an Omega and said that it shoots pretty much the same except for the trigger pull. I shot it last week. Shoots really nice. I am glad that I saved the $$$ and got it instead of the Omega.
