Default knight rifle 209 primer question?

i recently purchased an American Knight 50 caliber rifle. the 209 primers do not fit all the way into the breech plug. Is this normal for a 209 primer gun? i have a percussion cap gun but this is my first inline. the primers insert into the breech plug about 1/2 way.

ORIGINAL: Jim Bell

I have an older Wolverine that I converted to 209 and the primer does stick out just a little bit. Just enough to hook the capper/decapper behind the lip on the primer and pull out the primer.

ditto...Mine stick out just far enough you can use a decapper to get them out so its normal

Normal for the primers to stick out part way. I also think Knights are set up for Winchester primers I have noticed that they do fit alittle better.
