RE: my new maple stock
it was from Pecatonica River Long Rifle Supply, Inc....it is the grade 4 curly maple with 90% + curl to it....just had to fit my parts to it from my T/C stock with some cutting and trimming to fit them....stained it with red mahogany and put about 6 coats of tru-oil on it to bring out the grain..................................bob

Bob you did a great job on it. I love that curly maple.A good friend built me a BP rifle back in 1974.He used Cherry for the stock. It's a work of art,he made the stock from scratch.Used a 45 cal Douglas Premium barrel.A CVA Lock, Triggers and trigger guard not sure who made them. Everything else he made by hand.

RE: my new maple stock
Bob, I have seriously considerd buying a Pecatonica River stock for my Green Mountain round ball barrel, and I was wondering if you cut the butt to adjust the length of pull. I am aware that they leave it long, and I was wondering how you did it.
