RE: Remington 700 ML
I own a Rem 700ML, .50 cal, blued barrel, black synthetic stock. I bought the gun in 1996, and have been using it ever since. It is by far one of the best muzzleloaders that I have ever shot, and I do not plan on buying another muzzleloader by a different company.
I use the powerbelt 295gn hollow point bullets, with 2-50gn pyrodex pellets, and I am shooting 1" groups at 100 yards with it. Thats pretty darn good as far as Im concerned.
For $224, I would say buy that gun. I paid $345 for mine in '96.
Also, 3 of my hunting buddies that shot my gun, went out and bought one for themselves. All 3 said they will never switch muzzleloaders, this gun is all they need. Just my $.02, hope it helps you.

RE: Remington 700 ML
I bought mine 700MLS in 98' and still use it today, I have been happy with its performance and recently converted to 209 primers. While there have been many developments in the inlines since I bought mine I have no need to get a new front stuffer...well except maybe the new Savage 10IISS. accuracy has been a non issue and haven't had any problems in the field with it, I use 240Gr Hornady XTP's and they work just great.
Seems like a good price to me.
