Default buyin a ml

I want to buy my dad a inline for christmas. I have a T/C encore and i love it but i don't really have that kind of money to spend right now. I was thinkin bout spendin around 200$. I'm thinking about a CVA or a Traditions or somthing like that. I was wondering how well these brands will shoot and what brand and kind you guys would recomend for under 200$.

If I had $200.00 limit and wanted a nice rifle, I would look at the CVA Staghorn or Eclipe. Both .50 calibers are a well built rifle for the money. I have read on some other boards that people that own them are having great luck with them.

Go rob your piggy bank cause you will need an additional $29 for this buy of the month. On sale for $229 at Cabelas is the T/C Black Diamond XR.

Triple Se7en I hope the Black Diamond XR is a good rifle. The deal on my knight wolverine fell through and so that is what they got me instead. I went to town today and bought a number of different sabots to try and another pound of T-7 and a pound of Pyrodex and all the stuff I think I might need to make the gun work. I am wondering what load it will like.

If you live anywhere near a Cabelas store you might want to check out the Knight Wolverine with synthetic stock and 22 inch stainless steel barrel for $199.

The sale was suppose to end on Dec 14, but I was just in the Dundee, Michigan store and they said the sale had been extended til the 24th.

If you have a store nearby you might want to call first and see if they have any left, they were selling fast when I bought mine the day after Thanksgiving.

Good Luck

T/C sabot/bullets Cayugad!

Anything with the T/C package in black sabot between 240-300 grains should work well with that 1-28" twist. The XR has the same land & groove network as the Omega & Encore. My Omega likes all plastic shrouded bullets I can stuff down it between 240 grains & 370 grains from three different manufacturers.... not including the 295-348 Powerbelt conicals.

I went to the guy who gets me all my guns in and he says he uses a CVA Optima and will sell me one for 190$. He says at 50 yds he can shoot walnuts? Have any of you ever used one of these or own one?

I have read some real good reviews on the Optima. Is this the 26" barrel or the 29" barrel which I believe is the Optima Pro? I thought I saw them cheaper then what this fellow quoted you, but those I think were the Optima 26" barrel, and it was not that much less (as I remember).

Triple Se7en what kind of charge are you running in your Omega when you shoot the T/C sabots? Thanks....
