Default Wolverine SS/Black $199 at Cabelas

Just wanted to let anyone that was interested know that Cabelas was selling the Knight Wolverine with 209 ignition in black synthetic stock and stainless steel barrel for $199 or with a bore sighted 2x7 32 Pine Ridge scope for $259. This was an in store purchase only. To say the least they were selling like hot cakes on Friday Nov 28.

This is my first muzzleloader, I was wanting an Omega but this will work for my needs and with the money I saved I was able to buy all my accessorys I needed to go along with the gun for less then the Omega would' ve cost. The gun feels great on my soulder can' t wait to shoot it this coming week

Good choice for your first rifle Pauly! I recommend either buying the Knight/Barnes sabot/bullets (or) buying another brand like Hornady, T/C, Buffalo... etc & then purchasing the 50-pk of Knight sabots to shoot them in. Knight rifles are a little overbore & so are the plastic Knight sabots.

Good Luck & keep us informed on your range work.

I purchased 777 powder to try with Hornady 240 xtp, Precision bullets Dead Center' s 290 grains, and the Powerbelt' s in 295? Hopefully I' ll find a good combo out of some of these loads.

Pauly

Just like I said prior, if by chance the Dead Centers or Hornadys are not grouping well, buy the Knight sabots & switch the remaining bullets to them & give it a whirl at the range.

What range is there around Canton, Michigan? I have been going to Sharon Valley Recreation Center in Grass Lake. It' s free to shoot there & the COs offer help to anyone who cries out.....

I originally was going to try Sharon Valley or Island Lake today (Monday 12/1) but ended up working OT today due to President Bush' s visit to Canton today. So maybe Wednesday or Friday I' ll be at Sharon Valley, have to call out there and check when there open. Shot at SV a couple of years ago, pretty nice range.
