I figured i would share couple pic's of my ML, you don't run across many of this model. It is a .50 cal, its been hanging on the Wall rack for 10 yrs now. I just cleaned all the dust n dirt off of it. Glad i did not find any dirt dobber nests in it.

Pretty sure that rear sight indicates its a early version. Late model rear sight is longer. Does it have the QLA at the muzzle? I thought they all had it but very early ones might not.

It does have the QLA. Soon as this rain passes out from here i may get to shoot it tomorrow afternoon. I just pulled the 209 nipple out n put in a new musket nipple in the BP, will grease it n put back in.

I'm a bit confused. You said you pulled 209 nipple and put on a musket nipple. Pardon my ignorance but isn't the hammer/bolt face different for the 209 vs the musket cap? Seems to me the musket cap bolt face should be flat while the 209 should have more of a firing pin type face.
But that is a sweet looking rifle.
