Pittman Accumax Redo
Dougs136Schwartz sent these 45 caliber 275 grain Pittman Accumax Bullets. These bullet have a 0.012" thick jacket
The distance between the rifle, and horse is 25 yard; the powder charge is 80 grain Blackhorn.
The bullet did a lot of damage to the second, third, and fourth jugs; split them wide open. In the third jug the bullet began dropping, and turning to the right. The bullet exited the fifth jug, and went through the upper left rear leg, of the horse.
Right there on the ground lay a piece of the jacket.
After finding the piece of jacket, the metal detector was used to search for the rest of the bullet. Spent a long time looking; took a break for coffee, and donut; continued the search for the bullet. The metal detector, and hands found bullets, but not the Accumax.
