RE: percussion guns....
thanx for all the suggestions guys......i really dont know what ill do but im in the boat cayugad was in....modern rifles are nice but i like blackpowder hunting..it adds some fun to it all......i kinda wanna stay cheap no matter what...thats why a second barrel sounds good.....but also dont want a cheesy barrel i couldnt hit my car with if i was sitting in it.....i know green mountain barrels are known for good accuracy.....and i want to shoot sabots and powerbelts...so i will go with a fast twist...i know its not traditional but i just cant see a round ball doing much damage to a deer....i rather have a bullet expand and leave energy and shock ect..i hate loosing game...i want a good bullet working for me....i think i can do better then a round ball........so when the early season rolls around next year in pa(if we have it again) if its nice ill put the flint barrel on.....if its damp ill put in the percussion.....rifle season if i am only doe hunting ill take the flinter if its nice....but the caplock ill take for a buck on a nice day.....and if its raining and im buck hunting im sticking with the 3006.....i would kick myself for years if i had a misfire because i wanted to take the deer with a ML...but then again id look like one bad dude taking it with a traditional firearm.....hmmmmmm lol....well se when the time comes lol.....thanx for all the suggestions.....ill let you know what goes on....it wont be until spring or so probably.....i gota save a nice little stash for rainy days and if my car decides to crap on me......im going to be a smart driver and stash some away because i know they can and will break down......
