We are talking about plugs atm correct?
How come I read that the Triumph has slow fire in cold weather with BH?

Doesn't Ron fix it by drilling the flash channel and installing a vent liner?

Oops! Just like CVA.

Pete that Triumph I sent you never had any problem shooting BH in any weather. Did you have a problem with it?

I'm just going by what I read Mike. Some guys have problems. Why does Ron drill them out?

I never shot the Triumph. At least I don't remember shooting it.

Longer plugs typically need a hotter primer. Its not brand specific just simple physics. Even my Savage plug benefits from a hotter primer with some powders. A few people go as far as recessing the Savage vent liner but for most its never been a requirement.

The T/C plugs come standard with a 1/8 flash channel. Seems like a simple fix for CVA to offer that in all their plugs if it improves cold weather performance with all powders. Whatever Traditions did to their plug seems to be working. I cant remember ever seeing complaints about the Accelerator plug with BH209 or pellet ignition.

You do realize before the BH BP's came out I used a bone stock CVA BP with BH. Never had a problem.

The reason for drilling them is that they can function more efficiently... They breath better (for the lack of a better word) reduced the blow back pressure on the nose of the primer.

They just function better do not plug as quick - but the stock one will work just fine if you keep the channel clean.

I modified these CVA plugs and they work great with regular primers - no mags needed.

You can say the same for the CVA BP. It works bone stock, but everything has to be perfect.

That gives new or lazy guys problems, so the BH BP is better for them.

Those breech plugs look like a much better design for BH209 then the QRBP plug now being offered by CVA with the gun.

They look like Omega BP's which is the best factory BP made. Or was made.

They also need a wrench.

A second look. Are those Knights?

No they are older CVA plugs modified for a friend in Florida.. They look like Omega because they pretty much copied that plug...

Wrench is not big deal at all...
