I'm pretty sure all 40cal bullets will come with Harvester sabots now or soon. That's probably why those are on sale.

Unless I'm missing something, Knight doesn't have sabots for .45 caliber guns. The only one I found at that price are the brown ones. The page says "In .50 caliber rifles and charges exceeding 100 grains of Black powder or equivalent of Pyrodex or the higher or hotter powder charges."

Sabotloader, Those reds, http://www.knightrifles.com/product/...loader-sabots/ they say they are for .50cal/.458!!!! I've been trying to find a sabot that I could load my .458 Interlocks http://www.hornady.com/store/45-Cal-.458-350-gr-FP/ into my Pro Hunter barrel!!! Tried a couple MMP's I had laying around. One was WAY loose the other I had to damn near climb a ladder and jump onto my starter to get it started! You think those would work? I know out of my .458SOCOM they strike with the lightning of Zeus on big hogs! If I can find a sabot that will work with them MAN what a combination! 120 grains BH and those puppies? WEEEEEEEEEEE

The RED sabots are 457/458x50 sabots. They are made by MMP just like the Orange MMP. So if it will not fit then probably the RED Knight will not fit either.

I do not have any new/newer TC's but I have been told that they have closed their bores down and tighter than the older models. And it might be difficult to get a 458 down. You might be able to polish the bore with JB's Bore Paste (a couple hundred strokes) and open the bore a bit. It really doesn't open the bore but it does polish the bore and removes any tool marks and burrs.

What color were the MMP's that you tried.

This is the Knight 458:

I really can not answer that until I know which sabots you tried. I can think of a sabot that would go down easy with a 458?

Are these the same sabots as the TAN that MMP sells directly?

Yes with a different die color.

The tan MMP works very well for me even when shooting the 230 grain Lehigh. The powder cup of a shot tan MMP with a 230 doesn't look that well but it does not seem to effect accuracy.

You can compare the sabots in this picture
