Working doesn't make it the best. It could be on the edge of failing.

When I had an Omega I could fire BH 209 in it with a T7 primer. That showed me how efficient the BP was.

Not really. Both QRBP made for using Blackhorn, have short short channels. They have innards that are virtually direct copies of the short Encore/Omega breech plug. In other words, the Encore/Omega plug, and both of the Blackhorn QRBP, are mostly identical.

All three of these plugs have 1/8" channel. All three have near the same length channel. The QRBP do have a slightly larger flash hole. The slightly larger flash hole should actually improve Blackhorn ignition.

NOW, MY OPINION:

Each of these three plugs would be improved by increasing the diameter of the flame channel to 5/32". This step will reduce the pressure on the face of the primer, but will not affect the powder ignition. The QRBP could have a longer flame channel; if done correctly, this would increase the volume of the channel, and this would reduce the pressure on the primer. The QRBP would be improved by increasing the length, and the diameter of the channel.

Not really. In bitter cold weather, it will produce slight delays, when using W209 primers. Perhaps the 209A primer will fix this, i wouldn't know.

I never compared the Omega to the Triumph. So, the Triumph must have as a deeper powder side pocket to bring it as close to the primer as the Omega?

I didn't know that. I figured the pocket was farther away from the primer on the Triumph.

Well the only BP I've used BH209 in was a Lehigh. It worked perfectly.
Ron, probably alot of the views are from folks that are guests, they can't vote. I didn't vote, because I have no experience with any other BP and the Lehigh isnt listed.

The Lehigh i didn't include, because i was unaware it could still be purchased.

My vote was for the Knight, because to my knowledge, it has the same design as the Lehigh.

Wouldn't that make the Omega BP more efficient?

btw I'm talking about the bottom of the pocket closes to the primer.
