Have you tried the NoExcuses bullets? They're $25 for a box of 50. They load really nice, and you won't find a better lead conical. A little heavier than the the Hornady's, but they put the smack on any game.

Thanks Muley. Been meaning to find a good coni. to try out of this TC. I have an Old Hawken flint that I picked up when I lived in PA to hunt in traditional ML season that shoots the lights out of those Hornady 385 grain coni. But they are a bit on the tight side in my TC. I think they are .504 on average. Just a little too dang tight for my liking. Fit great in the Hawk though.
