Pick one to hunt with

Default Pick one to hunt with

With all this talk about Traditional guns and hunting lets pick one to hunt with and explain your reason for choosing the one you did.
Your choices are :
1. Lyman 54 cal 1:60 twist GPR
2.Lyman 54 cal 1:32 twist GPH
3. Tc Hawken 54 cal 1:70 twist GMB
4 TC Hawken. 50 cal. 1:24 twist Sharpshooter barrel
5. TC Hawken 58 cal 1:70 twist
6. TC Hawken 50 cal 1:48 twist
7. Renegade 45 cal GMB 1:28 twist
8. Renegade 50 cal 1:48 twist
9. White English Sporting Rifle. .451 1:20 twist Douglas barrel
10. Pedersoli's Rocky Mt Hawken 1:65 twist
11. Pedersoli Kodiak double barrel 58 cal 1:48 twist
12. Pedersoli's Gibbs .451 1:18 twist

So which one and why ?

I would pick #9 because I know how accurate that rifle is and I like shooting heavy lead conicals. I would love to get a traditional rifle with a quality fast twist barrel.

What animal might we be hunting... that would possible make a difference for me...

Doc has one right now. I talked to him last week and it has a 1:18 twist barrel and a 3x Malcolm scope . He hunted with it last month , got a fat doe but never saw the buck he was after . It was out of my budget but I'm sure it's still available with or without the scope. If interested contact him or pm me and I can give you the details

I'd take #10 with a PRB for muley's and elk.

The reason is I always wanted one, and it's the closest one on the list to a real Hawken.

I don't know because I'm in a similar predicament I'm deciding what to use for my early ML season here in PA. I narrowed it down to two but undecided between my Accura V2 or my Renegade with the .58 GM barrel.

Go with the Renegade , save the Accura for rifle season

I don't believe I can hunt with any of them, don't have any percussion caps........
