Default Hornady Monoflex

Anybody tried the new Hornady Monoflex 250 grain sabot rounds?

Was checking out there website and they looked interesting. Bascially it looks like a 250 grains Barnes TMZ.

Thought for black bear, or elk they might be the way to go. Just need a chance to chase one the above...

A few people have tried them at extreme smokeless speeds and early range sessions have been ok except for sabotless in the 45cals was only mediocre so far. Its a "tougher bullet" than a all copper Barnes, guilding metal is 5% Zinc and 95% copper. Expansion might be marginal at slower speeds. I plan on trying them in my ULA 50cal SML because the 458s are so tight in my bore and they are too tough for me to resize.

Its also a fairly long bullet for its weight, its roughly as long as a 300gr SST. You can buy a 458-250gr version in bulk 50 packs. So far the .452s are only available with 3P-EZ sabots in 20 packs.

Can you point to where they are available in 50 packs? I'm assuming they are premium priced.
