Knight 209 primer conversion kit
I am wondering about this Knight 209 conversion kit. Would I want to use it over a #11 primer on a MK85?
FYI, the kit pictured is SS. The kit I actually have is #900610, blue.

I'm not even sure what that is. ? What the heck are those brass things?
The 209 conversion I have for my mk's is a 209 plunger, and a 209 breechplug (that accepts the red disc w/209).
Depends on who you talk to whether they prefer #11's or 209's. I know the BH users prefer the 209 conversion.

The gun is not meant to shoot BlackHorn 209 powder. And unless you intend to shoot pellets, I would suggest you stick with the #11 caps. Now I understand why each have their reasons for wanting to change. But in my three LK rifles, there is no way you could make me go to a 209 ignition.

The kit does not include another BP, uses a Red Hot nipple (per the directions), and the hammer has a raised hammer face.

Good morning All,
IMHO, It is should be very obvious that the shown item is not a 209 conversion!!!!!!!!!
That is a conversion to use large rifle Primers, they are not considered 209s by any stretch of the imagination.
IMHO, I would personally not use any thing but #11s on a plunger gun.
