Default I ordered another barrel.

I have been on the fence about getting another 45 barrel. Green Mountain has some Stainless steel 1-30 twist barrels 1" across the flats. I have talked to a few people there and they are no longer making the Stainless barrels. They have 30 of the 45's left. They won't be making any ML barrels at all until next year.

This barrel will be stored for later use. I already have one that is 15/16 for my Hot Rod Hawken. I use a Paper Patched RCBS 11mm rifle bullet. This barrel will be kept probably for my son. His rifle is a Hot Rod Renegade so this barrel will drop right into that one. That would give him a 45 and a 50.
I wish my Dad would have bought a few Pre 64 Winchesters and stored them for me. Ron

That's a good move Ron. Those are great barrels. I wouldn't be surprised if a few years from now some of us will be saying "I wish I had bought one of those when they were available".

Its a shame they wont make some IBS barrels from the faster twist BPCR blanks. Some of those are very nice barrels but they are expensive. The 1-30 will still shoot a 360gr conical very well.

Ron, are you using soft lead or a harder alloy for those big conicals?

I am bumping the hardness up to 8 BHN or AKA 40-1 for those bullets. Ron
