Default Powdered My X7

My sweet little Omega X7 has worn a Simmons 4X ProDiamond scope for the last three years.

As you guys know, I really like the ProDiamond and think it's the perfect size for most muzzle loaders (especially sidelocks ).

In fact, the first scope I put on the X7 was a 3x9 Tasco. I took it off two weeks later in favor of the ProDiamond because I just liked the looks of the smaller scope better on this little rifle. That 4X has done everything I needed done over the years.

But DANG IT, Cayugad started that Cabala's 3x10 Powder Horn feeding frenzy a few months back and I bought one even though I had no special plans for it.

Then Ronlaughlin started posting all of those long range shooting reports. BLAST YOU RON! And I started thinking about trying some 200+ yard shooting with the X7.

Suspecting that 3x10 scope might give me better chance for success, I got weak and put it on. It still looks a little too big on the gun to me, but I'll probably get used to it.

Anyway, next weekend will be the Powder Horn's first outing. We shall see.

the front of the scope sits nice and low. The other scope just looks to high up.

Oops! You're right Johnmorris. My apologies Devil. That first picture is a couple of years old. I forgot I had changed the rings a while back.

Too bad TC stopped making that model. The wood looks so much better than plastic.

Semisane

That remains a very nice looking outfit, even with the bigger scope.
