Would be nice if that was the case. I just figured since I took a dremel to it that they might say " sorry, you modified it so your warranty is void".

They might, but they seem to understand nobody wants to send their gun back.

Thats true. Here's a photo of the nosecap, you can see where I ground it to fit. ( shiny bare metal)You can also see the crack in the front of the stock. I accidently hit the outside of the nosecap with the dremel somehow. I cold blued both the inside and the spot where I scarred up the outside. I am going to leave the stock clamped til tomorrow then put it together and go shooting.

I noticed the nose cap was loose when I had the barrel off my old GPR, but it tightened up with the barrel on. Was yours loose with the barrel on?

actually the nosecap turned out to be the biggest problem. the barrel wouldnt even come close to fitting in the nosecap.. I ground it out only enough to allow the barrel to fit inside it, so it is very tight with the barrel installed and very loose on the stock without the barrel installed.

Never had that problem. Mine is usually binding in the back. A shim under the tang fixes it, and it drops down perfect.
