Default Powder

I am just curious. Which is better to use in Knight Disc Extreme with #11 cap ignition system, Pyrodex or Triple Seven. I am talking loose, not pellets.

Thanks

pryodex will ignite easier, but 777 is cleaner even more so if you use FFFG. You shouldn't have a problem igniting it.

Not much of a crud ring with 777 and a cap, with that in mind IMHO 777. it's cleaner and better velocities with the same amount of powder.

Best would be FFF Goex, it has a lower ignition temp...

I am not sure what is better, but if you are using a #11 MAG cap or a RWS 1075+ cap that will make things easier to ignite.

I use T7-3f in all of my cap locks using a Mag cap. I have no problem igniting the T7 even in sub freezing weather.

Right now I have a load of 110 grains of T7-3f with a .452-250 grain Lehigh in a Knight ready to go hunting in the morning or maybe this afternoon.

I was shooting Triple Seven 2f yesterday in a LK-II which is a plunger style, with Winchester Magnum #11 caps and had not ignition problems until something strange occurred which I have yet to figure out. Today I took the same rifle out, same powder, same every thing and shot 10 rounds without a flaw...

Pyrodex RS is easier to ignite of the two mentioned. But if you prepare the rifle correctly, either should work just fine.
