Default Suprise Suprise

The wife and me went to a little spot we hunt close to the house Friday afternoon to bowhunt. There are two small fields in this spot that the farmer doesn't plant anymore. He told us we can plant whatever we want. I planted 3 acres of soybeans back in the summer and this fall I planted winter rye, oats and turnips. We been seeing several does but none has gotten close enough to shoot. Told the wife that this little spot has the potential to hold a decent buck, but I hadnt had any evidence of that UNTIL

The zone where we live only has a shotgun or ML season for 5 days out of the entire year, its mostly bowhunting. Take a guess where I'm gonna be on Nov 12 and 13 with my ML in hand. This is a really good buck for where I live

That's a really good buck anywhere. He ought to make sitting in the stand a little easier knowing he could show at any time.

It makes hunting a lot more fun just to know he could step into view at any time.

I agree.. it makes sitting and watching the field much better. Although the time your sitting in the stand you will be playing over and over in your mind where the buck will come out from.. how far it is.. and all the other stuff. Good luck with that buck.
