scope mounting

They didn't discuss lapping the rings??

I lap the rings on every scope I mount. If only to increase the bearing surface on the scope. Tom.

No, they did not discuss lapping the rings. They did mention quality of products though. And they plugged a certain store enough times to choke a horse. But it really was an educational show. The next time I mount a scope, I am going to pay more attention to details.

Lapping the rings is something I haven't tried in the past. Makes good sense. For the proper torque a good inch/pound torque wrench can't be beat. The Borka Tool is my personal favorite. Bought one for me and one for my brother. ( he taught me to shoot when I was a kid).
