If you go to Goex, go with FFF and stay with the 80gr load...Less powder means less fouling...You don't gain that much velocity anyway and with round balls especially, the faster you start them, the faster they slow down because of the large frontal area and poor ballistic coefficient...
With balls, it's about weight and diameter, not velocity...A ball going too fast actually flattens and seldom penetrates through the hide on the off side of a deer...It's also very hard to get the right patch/ball/lube combo to keep patches from burning through...You can add nesting/felt wads, etc between powder and ball to avoid this but it's really not necessary with charges below 90grs...
Plain water or rubbing alcohol is fine with real black powder as far as swabbing between shots...
