When I was dinging around with it I really felt that it should go higher in the tang, as you and Dave had them mounted. But I did go along with what I think is the norm and mounted it as TC would. I am going to look for another tang and possibly change the assembly in the future. I also need to find a hammer the that has the slit in the front of the cap hood. The one I have now is a newer style without the slit. I do have a TC hammer designed for a scope with the slit but not real fond of that one.

It is a project in the works, but I am really happy with the bore...

Just go ahead and cut a slit in the hammer you have.

I was actually think about doing that with a dremel tool...

The only reason i am concerned is that every once in awhile I get and expended cap caught in there and with the slit it makes it a little easier to pick it out - I think...

Also I thought the cup might be a little larger on the older hammers... do not know that for a fact though..

^^Wow, way to be random and off topic. Pretty sure this thread had nothing to do with selling renegades.

Nice shooting. I look forward to the day that I can shoot groups that are touching with open sights. While freezing.

If my eyes were as good as yours, I think I could shoot like that. I like peeps. They make you focus more on your sight picture.

Nice gun, looks like one I have.
