Default Looking at a used TC Triumph

I am looking at a used Thompson Center Triumph. It is the weather shield model with black stock and silver barrel. They guys is asking $300 but I would have to have the gun shipped to me and can't see it in person before hand. He says it is 2 years old and only has been hunted with a few times and he has cleaned everytime after shooting. He says it is about 2 years old. Has the triumph changed at all since it has been out or are all model years the same. Is the price right? I will probably offer $250 plus shipping.

I.M.O there's not a better gun for the money. I feel anytime you buy something online you take a risk. Does he have any feedback ratings? The gun should be the same as one built today. Speedbreech..weathershield..L.O.P..Power rod? not sure. Guns very Blkhorn friendly although I shoot 777 out of mine. Good luck and welcome to the forums.

X2 on the triumph, i bought mine last year new black on blue for $279 with pine ridge scope and mounts.unless you can look at it and make sure it's not rusted and in good working order, i would just buy new...just my .02.you can weather shield any blued rifle and get excellent outer protection.

Buy a new one for that amount of money. Why buy something used that you can't see for little or no difference you can get a new one. Check Cabelas, Bass pro, etc.

Awesome rifle.

At $250 it's a good deal, $300 is close enough to to the price of a new one that I wouldn't bother buying used through the mail.

My $0.02

If its a bone collector for $250, buy it. You can also ask for a 3 day unfired inspection, I have done that. Mine shoots extremely well with bh209 and 250gr. hornadys or T/C shockwaves (same bullet). Why cant he send you pictures of the gun?

I have a good feeling that this guy is honest. I have seen pictures and he tell me that it is clean and has been shot very little. I am getting the gun for $260 including shipping.
