If the manual gives detail as to how to clean that area... clean that area. I will give you an example. Its the little things that will goof the rifle up when you don't need it to. If the manual says clean it, then clean it.

besides tools and cleaning aids.. I bought the winchester T7 pellets

Now do not get real excited if the SW and sabots do not go down your barrel very well when you first start. In fact I would suggest you remove your breech plug and try pushing one down and through before you go to the range just in case it is a problem.

I do have a question..on cleaning, do you clean the firing pin, springs and everything in the rear of the beach? the manual say you do. my freinds say you don't

I'm confused

I would suggest after and extended range trip that you do clean those pieces also, especially if you are seeing a moderate amount of blow back in the breech area. In my Triumph I can shoot any length of primer and not get any blow back at all. Part of that is because of the length of the BP - it really reduces the blow back pressures on the nose of the primer.

PS... start with 90 grains of powder and work your way up... I would stay at 110 if you go up that far.

No problem thanks for the clear up.. on the parts behind the beach plug

(ok def will slide a couple sabots way before hand.) Tested them and the slid down ok after a little snug start but smooth all the way down after that

Whats your opinion on the SW's?

They are very accurate and they are great for shooting long ranges 150+. I have shot them at the range but I do not use them for hunting. I am not a pointy bullet fan. For the price there are bullets with better terminal ballistics through all the ranges available.

That is where I get them and no they do not come with sabots, because at the factory there is no way of kniwing what sabot may fit your bore. So he lts you buy your own.

Probably have to go to the internet or a large box retailer like Cabelas

http://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/...roductId/17366

Remember the old packageing but the same bullet may say Gold Dot instead of Deep Curl...

I paid $18 and change for 30 of the SW...

any idea how long it takes to get them from Lehigh after ordering them?

another question.. Are these considered hand gun bullets?

Probably 2 weeks or less from Lehigh

And yes they are hand gun bullets (45 colt)

I never knew Cabelas - did not carry Speer - seems odd unless Spreer will not discount them enough to Cabelas..
