It's on!!!
HooWee! Our season opens tomorrow.
It's 81 degrees right now, with a low of 51 projected for tonight and a high of 77 tomorrow. I may be sitting in my stand in shorts and a T-shirt.
The truck is packed and I'm ready to go. I'll be sitting in a stand looking at the plot below (picture taken from stand), and holding the .58 GM/TC Hawken with a patched ball loaded over 95 grains of GOEX FFFg . The first mature doe that shows herself is going down (I hope). It's time to put some meat in the freezer.
Those three oaks are 75 yards out, and the rear of the plot is 100 yards.
Time to hit the road. See you guys later. Man, I'm PUMPED!

Well our season starts November 20th. The WI DNR has really put out the false reports of deer numbers because of the lack of license sales so far. That .58 will do the trick. Good luck to you and fill that freezer.

Our opener is tomorrow also.
Its 72F now and a low in the lower 50s tonite with rain. Then temps start dropping and high of 50f tomorrow and dropping the next few days.
Heading out after work tonite but luckily wifi works at the cabin.

Good luck you old dog. Hope 'Mr. Big" walks into that plot and gives you a 50 yd broadside shot. Hunt hard and shoot straight. I'm glad I finally shot my deer. I think if I spent any more time in that tree stand I would start growing feathers.
