That is good shooting Flounder. And I know what your talking about trying to time the swing. Today I tried Sabotloader's method and it worked much better for me. I am going to end all my shooting sessions with some off hand shooting. It might improve me.

That bison is a good rifle. I have one.

I have tried several different ways of acquiring the target before firing off hand. Then I finally realized there is no magic pill. And I also believe the most important part of the shot is follow through(learned that from skeet shooting). There is no substitute for holding the sights on the target and following through with your shot.

Personally I practice a good bit with a 2-1/2" and a 4" gong from 50 to 100 yards with my 22 rifles. I concentrate on every single shot. Even though thy are repeaters I only load one shot at a time. And shoot as if every shot is my last shot.

I also switched to all peep sights. I seem to do a much better job with accurate shooting with peep sights. Believe it or not-out to 200 yards I shoot betteroff handed with opensights than with a scope. I think it is because ihave to focus considerably more.

I practice a good bit with big bore High Walls, and my 45 Colt Low Wall out to 200 yards. With vernier sights.

I would love to have a High Wall in an MZ.

Every once in a while I watch those guys shoot out to 1,000 yards with open sights. If they can do it to 1,000, I know i can do it to 200. Tom.
